Pythium Leak

Pythium Leak

Pythium leak of potato is caused primarily by the Oomycete pathogen Pythium ultimum. This organism lives in the soil and primarily infects potato tubers during the harvest operation. However, infection can occur in the field prior to harvest. This disease can cause significant losses in storage. More information on how to manage leak can be found in this section.

A new research report on managing Pythium leak is now available.
